Web Integration

Solutions

You can easily send faxes from websites and web applications with NET SatisFAXtion.  In a typical application, a web form is used to collect information from a user, such as their fax number and the document that they want to fax. This information information is then posted to a script on a web server  that uses one of the NET SatisFAXtion APIs to fax the requested document.

APIs

Faxes can be sent from either ASP (Active Server Page) or CGI (Common Gateway Interface) scripts.  Support for both of these web server interfaces is demonstrated by Web Page Fax, and each can access NET SatisFAXtion using the CAS API or the NSSOAP API.  To use the CAS API with the ActiveX Interface, the CAS ActiveX control must first be installed on your web server.  To send a fax, or perform any other fax server function, the script must use CAS to open a session with the fax server, which can run on the web server or on any networked computer accessible by the web server.  To use the CAS API with the XML Interface, your script can access NET SatisFAXtion using HTTP, without installing any FaxBack software on your web server (supporting non-Windows based web servers).

Web Page Fax

The ability to fax a web page is a common feature on FaxBack websites.  Adding a "Fax This Page" button to any website is easy to do, using Web Page Fax contact forms and accompanying scripts, for ASP or CGI interfaces.
